BCP ?'s: "Yaz" is a low dose oral contraceptive, and at age 33, the amounts of hormones in Yaz are lower than you would produce from your ovaries (if not on bcp's). There is always a risk of blood clots from any form of estrogen/progesterone, but statistically there is more risk if having ovarian production of estrogen after age 30. Ask your gyn doctor about another form of bcp's to avoid acne.
