Superficial Bruise: Superficial Bruises look terrible with purple/bluish color and these get better without any treatment In few days.As long as there is no bony tenderness and swelling you should be alright.But if you have any evidence of serious injuries to deep structures including bones/joints then you need to be checked and may need xrays etc if needed
