I am pregnant and woke up with a tight chest. what can i get over the counter to prevent it getting worse? my throat is begging for relief

OTC: antacids are generally safe in pregnancy HOWEVER the "tight chest" has to have a DIAGNOSIS before treatment is suggested. Reflux (acid from the stomach burning the esophagus) is common in pregnancy but your OB-GYN should be consulted ..as well as your Primary Care Physician for proper diagnosis and treatment!!
