I had a root canal on tooth #14 many years ago. recently an endodontist redid it and also performed a procedure on the upper outside gum. i am still?

Unclear of the question, perhaps cut off. The endodonist retreated the tooth and possibly performed an apicoectomy, therefore the tooth can possibly be restored.

"Recently" does not give information as to how long ago procedure was done. You may still be healing from the surgery. If you are concerned, return to the specialist for post-surgical reevaluation. Post-surgical care is part of the procedure that you "recently" had accomplished.
