A member asked:

Whether 10 years back tuberculosis will affect my pregnancy now as now i a want to conceive and want a healthy pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can affect now+: Tuberculosis, which is more common in third world countries, can infect the pelvic structures making it difficult to get pregnant and carry a fetus to term. Have a Fertility GYN MD do an assessment of your pelvis and Fallopian tubes, prior to attempting conception. Also, it is a good idea to make sure the TB is gone by chest X-ray or TB testing if you were treated previously.
