Hi, since 29th september , ive had a sore throat... i was sick with flu but the sore throat has been there, i went to my gp who gave me antibiotics which didnt work, i went back last week i was told it was a post nasal but throat still red !?

Doctor can recheck: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed); a cold, influenza, or "mono" (antibiotics usually not used); or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants, or even stomach reflux during the night. Usually, a person sees the doctor again if the throat symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly. If any oral sex activities, do tell doctor.
