A member asked:

I am experiencing sore throat, appetite changes (quality: reduced appetite) , unintentional weight loss and night sweats. the following also describe me: fatigue, headache, aching muscles, cough, and chills. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can check: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed); a cold, influenza, or "mono" (antibiotics usually not used); or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants, or even stomach reflux during the night. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the throat symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly. Unintentional weight loss should be investigated.
