It possible : Electronic medical records (EMR) are replacing the paper charts. Almost all the doctors, clinics and hospitals are electronic. There are HIPPA complain means of communication between pharmacy and doctors are available now.

See below: Agree with Dr.Stelzner. The exceptions are narcotics or controlled substances. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine

Most can do it: Most physician who use electronic medical records do send prescriptions directly to your designated Pharmacy.But some may still write a paper prescription.And others may let you chose whatever your preference is.Enquire from your Doctor's office staff
