Pill administration: Misoprostol tabs are generally taken orally unless the directions on the bottle say otherwise. Abbreviations should be clearly printed on the prescription: PO = oral, pr = rectal. If it is intended to be inserted into the vagina, the directions will state this and the suppository is simply inserted into the vaginal opening.
