It is physiological: to have an elevated heart rate in the setting of PE. LBBB is also reasonably common and in the absence of symptoms (passing out) nothing need be done about it. In addition it is possible that the high heart rate or even the presence of a PE itself could result in a transient LBBB which will resolve as your PE resolves.
