A member asked:

How soon can i smoke after bottom tooth extraction and bone graft with stiches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Best: Best to wait 7-10 days. Smoking irritates tissues and impedes healing. I don't have to tell you that smoking causes mouth/throat/esophageal/lung/skin cancer, kidney disease, premature facial skin aging, let alone graft failure. Now would be a wonderful time to give yourself a present.
