A member asked:

Why do i always get a hoarse voice when i started talking and then my voice just decides to leave and i always have to clear my throat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hoarse: Sounds like dehydration and/or reflux. Stop throat clearing, swallow instead. Throat clearing creates more secretions. Drink at least two quarts of water a day. Prilosec may be indicated. If persists, see ENT for vocal cord exam.
