How does saline and albumin provide a safe plasma substitute since it's still not regular plasma?

By staying in vessel: This is a short term fix that is used to maintain circulation by providing material that stays inside the blood vessels, supporting the blood pressure, instead of leaking into the tissue spaces. The size and actions of the albumen molecule allow this, while water or saline would be not. Other blood elements must do the work of nourishing the tissues with oxygen, but keeping BP up is important.
