I have latent tb and now caring a newborn (1 month old now). my recent quantiferon shows nil 0.04 iu/ml, tb ag-nil <0.00 iu/ml, mitogen-nil >10 iu/ml. do i need to treat my latent tb to safely care my baby?

Tuberculosis: LTBI, or latent TB infection, means exposure and an antibody response without signs or symptoms of infection. People with LTBI should be treated, with a course of antibiotics typically 9 months long (there are also shorter regimens). The baby should be extra incentive to be treated.

Don't think so: However, you need to see an infectious diseases specialist for a definitive answer and follow up, TB Clinics can be a good resource as well, wish yourself and your baby wellness
