Give it time: It can take 2-3 weeks for symptoms of scabies to clear up. The medicine kills the mites, but the body continues to react to the dead mites, the eggs they passed, etc -- until they are absorbed. If still no better at 3 weeks, try another round of treatment.

Scabies: The symptoms often persist after the treatment has been administered.. If they do not subside in a few days then a second round of medication may be necessary.
