Permethrin: You need to get a prescription for permethrine cream 5% use as directed & repeat after 1 wk. Use OTC hydrocortisone cream & benadryl (diphenhydramine) or zyrtic for itching all family members must be treated. Wash all clothing, towels & sheets in hot water, dry in dryer or iron them, dry cleaning if needed. Itching may persist for a while after treatment.
