Had a ct scan due to upper abdominal throbbing, feeling very unwell nothing abnormal found. can a ct miss some stomach issues like ulcers etc?

Yes: CT scans are not the method of choice if looking for gastric ulcers, peptic ulcers or duodenal ulcers. You are better off having an upper endoscopy if you need to rule out ulcers.
