Yes, in the meantime: ...Avoid foods & behavior that delay stomach emptying &/or relax lower esophageal sphincter--spicy, greasy food, mints, alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, tomato-based products, caffeinated &fizzy drinks, eating before bedtime. Lose weight. Elevate head of bed on blocks. Of course, maybe its not just gastroesophageal reflux?

May take 2 weeks: It may take 2 weeks to resolve symptoms. Be sure that you are not taking any alcohol, or smoking, or regularly taking aspirin, all of which can make you worse.
