Find a better DR: Unless your triglycerides are extremely high [over 800?] there is little on no benefit from a fibrate. They seemed to be a good idea, but do not prevent pancreatitis or cardiovascular events. The American Heart Ass'n and American College of Cardiology no longer recommend them.
