Endocrinologist: I assume that tests have shown no evidence of hyperthyroidism(overactive thyroid) or diabetes. When there are abnormalities of ACTH or questions of pheochromocytoma or adrenal dysfunction, an endocrinologist must be involved in the workup. Appropriate tests are complicated and will be ordered.
