common problem: The most effective way to cure a UTI, if that is what it is, requires obtaining a urine culture. If a germ is found, testing its response to a variety of antibiotics in the lab (adds 1 day test) will find the best one to kill it. You could have antibiotic failure, or another problem masquerading as a UTI. Talk with your doc.

I have symptoms of uti. I went to my doctor and urine dip stick was negative. Put me on Bactrim for 5 days. Sent culture to the lab and it was negative. I am on day 5 and symptoms haven't improved. Could it still be uti even though labs were negative?
