Time to ask Dr. why?: The patient who starts taking medications without knowing the final diagnose can visit her doctor and ask why she needs to take each of the medications (it sounds like she is taking more than one). She can ask what may happen if she does not take them, vs. if she does take them. If TB strongly suspected, she may start meds (in case TB germs are alive) while awaiting final diagnostic test results.
