Tooth Abscess: Please see a dentist as soon as possible for an evaluation and appropriate treatment. We would need to see you clinically along with an x-ray of the area to both advise you and discuss pain medication. Generally speaking Tylenol would be the safest medication to take. Anything more would require a consultation with your Obstetrician. Safety of your unborn child is paramount. At least call dentist

See Dentist: Although Ibuprofen is a more effective pain killer, Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is the only pain killer to take without consulting first with your OBGyn. Antibiotics will reduce spread of infection, not cure it. Pain killers will block nerve impulses, not cure infection. To cure infection requires hands-on Dental treatment...see your Dentist. And have a healthy baby.
