Tachycardia. : Tachycardia would not be an unexpected side effect of the use of steroids. However, tachycardia can also be indicative of hypoxia from your lung inflammation. That should be addressed with your doctor who prescribed the steroids.

Fast: Heartbeat can be due to the lung inflammation. Call the doctor that prescribed the medication, Also if on rescue inhaler that could also raise your heart rate
