Contact: your health plan administrator or customer service, or go to the website/portal, and see if your plan covers the procedure.

You may be able to!: Because every insurance plan is different, contact your insurance provider and ask to speak with the person who deals with transgender care. We are seeing more plans cover this surgery, although you will likely require letters from a therapist or two (three for genital surgery). If you have a case worker, you may want to start with them. Your trans-friendly doctor may help too!
