Diagnose first.: Before you attempt to treat anemia, you have to identify its cause. Treatment will depend on the cause, of course. This could involve further blood testing as well as diagnostic testing, including CT scan, endoscopy and colonoscopy. What is the definitive cause is elucidated, treatment can be recommended, and some of these treatments may simply be nutritional.
