Mild croup can be treated with cool moist air and a happy home (avoid crying). Bad croup is treated by an ambulance ride to the ER, oxygen, vaporized epinephrine plus a steroid injection.

Don’t go it alone.: Has this diagnosis of croup been made by a medical provider, or did you come to this diagnosis on your own? I ask because I’d rather see diagnosis and treatment rendered by a medical provider who conducts a thorough history and physical examination, especially on such a young child.
