Dr tomo to discuss bowels past 4mo. ruq pain, yellow stool, sometimes blood. lots mucus, sometimes mucus pink. bloat when eat, nausea. no wt loss bc i force eat. fam hx early(<45) colon cx. what should i ask? want to make sure nothing missed. worry?

For discussion...: While the family history of early colon cancer is important and might require some testing, based on what you described above you may want to inquire about the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary system as well. This is located in the right upper abdominal quadrant, and pathology therein could cause some of the symptoms you’re describing.

Actually if you: are seeing a GI specialist - s/he will already have a list of questions to ask you. They are usually thorough. Once the provider gives you input, it will likely become clearer regarding what would be pertinent questions to ask.
