Gentler rinse: I suggest, even thought the andolex kills bacteria and viruses that cause some ulcers, but some others are not due to the bacteria or viruses. I suggest you simply rinse and swish warm salt water for about a minute, in the area of the sore, for about a minute. Do it again amother 4-5 times more a day. If that has no effect, make an appointment with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Not sure whether you: are describing a general sore throat or an area that is localized and looks like a "sore." In the latter case you may have an ulceration and in the former, a viral or bacterial infection. In either case, with now several days of symptoms, you should have the area examined by a doctor. You may need a throat culture. You can try lozenges as an alternative for pain relief, but an exam is needed now.
