LPR : Laryngopharygeal reflux is when a small amount of acid comes up into the throat and irritates it. It is a common cause of dry tickle cough, chronic sore throat, lump in the the throat , post nasal drip, phlegm in the throat, and throat clearing. It can respond to dietary intervention and in some cases medication. See an ENT.

Every time I swallow I feel a uncomfortable feeling/pain and it feels like my hyoid bone is clicking or griding on something. If I touch my throat above my adams apple I can feel it clicking. Its going on 3 weeks now. Can acid reflux cause this?
