This has been going on for around 3 weeks. i am coughing so violently that i am often sick. my asthma is also more volatile. is this a chest infection and if so, what should i do to treat it?

Are yo being exposed: Are you being exposed to something you may be allergic to ? Sounds like it. What are your peak flows (do you have a peak-flow meter- essential d]for asthmatics to know if they are getting into trouble). Maybe a shot of corticosteroids followed by a short cours of prednisone is in order. Call your doctor.
