The dr told me to control diabetes,not to take insulin from now(delay taking insulin) if i make what he said will i prevent taking insulin or delay it?

NO: Delaying insulin treatment in TYPE 2 Diabetes and control with diet, exercise and ORAL medication(s) is the "STANDARD OF CARE" ! This will NOT PREVENT the use of insulin later on! Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Diabetes & insulin. : We do know that diabetes does progress over time, regardless of the medications you take. The fact that you may not need insulin now doesn’t mean you won’t potentially need it later in life. You may delay needing insulin through regular exercise, proper nutrition and weight loss (if necessary).
