I started taking nexium 40mg and got a lot of improvement after 5 months of gastritis. i used to have pain but now i just have belching and a weird feeling. can i up my dose to another dose of 20mg nexium in the evening to get rid of symptoms?

Nexium and gastritis: Are we sure you have gastritis and not something else, like reflux/hiatal hernia or a gallbladder issue? If you’re somehow still symptomatic after five months of treatment, the diagnosis should be re-examined. That being said, you shouldn’t take any more than 40mg of Nexium daily.
