A member asked:

With respect to clenil modulite and fostair 100/6 is there much difference between the amount of steroid used by each of them ?and would bricanyl 0.5mg compared to sabutumol 100mcg have less affect on triggering sinus tachycardia at times?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonologist: If you have any predisposition to atrial tachyarrhythmias by virtue of your mitral valve abnormality you must be cautious with the use of any bronchdilator medications as they all can cause atrial irritability. My advice is to consult a pulmonologist who can prescribe the bronchodilator with the least propensity to cause tachyarrhythmias. In my experience Xopenex is favored in this regard.
