Nexium: is NOT an "antacid" TECHNICALLY but if a test REQUIRES that stomach acid be present then NEXIUM which stops the RELEASE of that acid should not be used! Ask the performing physician/laboratory...and explain your "problem" Hope this is helpful Dr Z
