Swollen gland. : What you’re feeling is likely what people refer to as a “swollen gland”. Could be a lymph node or one of your tonsils. Regardless, it may mean that you have an infection that requires treatment, maybe with an antibiotic. You should see a doctor for an evaluation.

Sounds: like a blocked salivary gland (usually due to a tiny stone but can be associated with some VIRUSES (the "classic " being MUMPS! I assume you had mumps vaccine as a child??!!
