Vagifem: Like all medications, Vagifem has risks and benefits. It is a matter of balancing these. Benefits include improvement of vaginal health. You may need to discuss these with your doc, but many people do use vagifem long term. It is generally thought to be a safer than oral estrogens, but risks still may include a small increase in blood clot issues, dementia, and possibly uterine or breast cancer.
