hurt rib 3d ago box. got x-r, nothing, er said maybe crack. back pain near spine lowest ribs, yesterday receded for 6 hours after popping sound, now pain again started during laying in bed. is it dislocated, treatment?

Yes: what you are describing is pretty "classical" for subluxing (partial dislocating) ribs at the posterior cartilage connection with your spine..
UNFORTUNATELY you cannot "splint" your chest (you need to breathe / cough.. If the pain is severe an injection may be helpful!
Consult your PCP (Primary Care Provider =) for hands on diagnosis and treatment!
