Besides anucort hc, what are the names of some other suppositories that you can get a prescription for that help with hemorrhoids, and inflammation? also what are some of the ones that have the highest patient success rate?

We do not: "recommend" OTC or for that matter Prescription medications (just generics) I can tell you that the preparation you mention is an excellent one. It has been "around" a long time and is fairly successful in treating MINOR hemorrhoid conditions Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Multiple measures.: Use Vaseline (or other) petroleum jelly, after cleaning well after each BM, inserted rectally. Change to a high fiber diet. Ask your doc to search for medical problems causing hemorrhoids. See a proctologist if symptoms persist; hemorrhoids can be treated surgically. Sizbaths in 3 inches of water, and even cold packs to shrink hemorrhoids, have been recommended.
