See below: It can live in soil or water. The disease can be missed easily A clue is exposure to warm water about 2 weeks before symptoms.The diagnosis requires a spinal tap. Treatment is Amphotericin B with other meds. Impavidio is a newcomer and has shown promise. I hope this helps
