Is 100.2 considerd a low grade or high temp for a 17 year old?

Almost nothing: This is well within the range of normal daily fluctuations in body temperature. It tends to be at it's lowest at 4-6 AM and highest 4-6 PM in most. It could also be very early in an illness before it actually causes a fever.
