Type II Diabetes: is from lifestyle choices, i.e., poor diet w/lots of junk food, lack of exercise, etc. The body makes insulin but it doesn't get into the cells and we cannon make ATP for energy. Type I Diabetes is when the pancreas does not make insulin and is typically diagnosed early on in life.

Diabetes.: Diabetes is of two main types. Type one requires insulin and is caused by damage to the pancrease. Type 2 is associated with obesity often and is usually secondary to insulin resistance.

Varies: If you mean type 2 diabetes, it's increased by age, family history and (70-90%) obesity -- which causes Insulin resistance, necessitating higher Insulin product by your pancreas and eventually exhausts your pancreas' ability to make sufficient insulin. Symptoms are thirst, urination, weight loss, visual blurring, fatigue, etc. See your doctor.
