A member asked:

Can anti epiletic medication cause your peroid to stop ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Short answer is yes: including (off the top of my head) keppra, lamictal, and Topamax. Depakote may cause some heavy bleeding but it's rare. Dilantin is not known to cause female hormonal issues, though it can affect thyroid levels which can in turn cause menstruation issues. Carbamazepine (Tegretol) does not seem to have many effects either on menstruation.
