Hello i just finished a 6 days course of methylprednisolone of 4mg and it was tapering dose. i would like to know will it cause hair loss?

Doubtful: Methylprednisolone rarely will cause hair loss. In reports to the FDA 22,909 people have reported side effects to this medicine and only 114 or (0.5%) have complained of hair loss making this side effect uncommon. Good luck

Although: hair loss is noted as a "possible" side effect of STEROID medication it is very unlikely that ANY side effects wwill occur with the rapid "tapering" use of this medication! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Steroids and hair lo: Steroids of a short duration usually do not result in hair loss. Try using Rogaine over the counter. It should help.
