Sinus Disease, Maybe: Sinus disease is possible, but your physician will consider primary as well as secondary causes. Primary causes are more common.

Yes: There are many people who benefit from over the counter sinus rinses that are available. There are also over the counter nasal sprays such as afrin that can be used periodically. If the sinus pressure is related to fluid build up, over the counter medications in the same class as sudafed can also be a helpful adjunct.
