Anxiety: Behavior more that of an infant than an older teen. Anxiety can be debilitating, but treatment for infection (cavity) cannot be put off. Seek care with a Dentist that can sedate her, or hospitalize her and do Rx in the OR, or treatment by a Pedodontist, a Children's Dentist, who work with phobic patients all the time. Your Physician and/or the Dental Society can help refer.

See below: Speak to your MD about prescribing an anti-anxiety medication, such as a low dose of valium, take as prescribed and try to see the dentist in the early morning, such as the first appointment. This would be advisable for long term success.
