The dr has prescribed invokana to my mom but i have read that it causes ketoacidosis,amputation & kidney issue even kidny failure. what is right? help

Unsure: Most drugs are not perfect and are associated with potential negative effects. Be sure the prescribing physician is aware of all medical issues, allergies, etc. That said, invokana is commonly used to treat diabetes. Control of diabetes may be the best thing for the kidney. Treatement dosing is modified in the context of known mild kidney disease.
