Warfarin.: My assessment it that is better to take it than die with out it. Discuss with you and your Dr. There are some substitutes but may not be as good and certainly have not been around as long.

Many options: There are other blood-thinning drugs like Apixaban and Rivaroxaban but, like Warfarin, they can have serious side effects.Some integrative Drs. have had success with a combination of natural blood thinners like Fish Oil,Turmeric,Vit E,Ginger,Gingko,Nattokinase and/or Lumbrokinase. There needs to be more research but these may be viable alternatives. Work with a Dr. who can guide you re: dosage.
