Migraine: Visual disturbance followed by a throbbing headache is characteristic of a migraine attack. If your headache completely resolved with no residual visual or neurological symptoms, no treatment would be needed. If severe headache or visual disturbance persists urgent examination in the emergency room is needed. If you experience recurring headaches, consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.
