Does it matter what arm you have blood pressure taken?

Most of the time it: doesn't. If there is a small difference in pressure between the arms - that is ok. However, if there a consistent difference of 10 or > mm of HG for systolic blood pressure (the upper / higher numbmer) or the diastolic blood pressure ( the lower number) that could be related to vascular problems.
